Illustration and book design

Apla kai diaforetika (Simple and different) is a  cook book series whose idea was born in a public, special-needs school in Athens.

The author -a special needs teacher and a food technologist- teaches his students how to cook, in order to help them live independently.

The recipes are illustrated step by step and organized in a very structured way, making them easy for readers with autism to follow. Simple line drawings, minimal colours, structured layout and some playful references to school notebooks were choosen for the books.
